What Does it Mean to be Anglican?
Great question.

In the theological statement of the Anglican Church of North America, which is the parent denomination for LifeSong, it says: "To be an Anglican is not to embrace a distinct version of Christianity, but a distinct way of being a mere Christian - at the same time Apostolic, Evangelical, Catholic, and Spirit-filled." Different Anglican congregations and individuals express these traditions in varying ways, but Anglicanism at its best is a blend of all of these things.

On this page, we've included some content and links about Anglicanism and the major beliefs that we at LifeSong hold as truths. If you have any questions as you explore, please feel free to reach out to one of our priests!

Our Anglican Leadership
LifeSong Fellowship Church is not a stand-alone church.

The Anglican tradition includes a structure with deacons, priests, and bishops to support and guide clergy and to ensure that congregations are led in Biblical truths. Our clergy are in very regular communication with the Bishop, and each church in the diocese has a personal visitation with him at least once a year.

LifeSong Fellowship Church is a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes, which is led by Bishops Mark Engel and Allen Kannapell. The Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes, in turn, is part of the Anglican Church in North America, which is under the leadership of Archbishop Steve Wood.
